Why that one difference changes everything
When the person pricing the work is also the person doing it, the estimate cannot be optimistic. There is nobody to hand the problem to. If I underestimate your prep, I am the one sanding at seven on a Saturday, so I price it honestly the first time.
It also means the standard does not drop after the deposit clears. A franchise estimator is measured on jobs sold. I am measured on whether you call me again and whether you tell your neighbor.

Owner-operator or franchise?
Both can do good work. They are built differently, and it is worth knowing which you are hiring before you sign.

If you want a project manager, a franchise is a reasonable choice. If you want the person responsible standing in your kitchen, that is us.
We would rather lose the bid than the job
We turn work down. If your stucco needs more repair than you want to pay for, we will say so rather than paint over it and let it fail inside two summers. If a room genuinely does not need repainting, we will tell you that too.
That costs us jobs. It is also why most of our work now comes from people who were referred by somebody we painted for years ago.
Fair questions
You are one person. Can you handle a whole house?
Yes. A full interior or exterior repaint is normal work for us and has been since 2011. What we do not take on is work we cannot do properly to schedule, like a phased repaint of an entire community. We will tell you if your job is not a fit.
Will a bigger company finish faster?
Sometimes, yes. A large crew can put more hands on a house. The trade-off is who those hands belong to and how closely the prep is checked. We would rather take an extra day than rush the part that decides whether the paint lasts.
What if something goes wrong after you leave?
Call the same number. You are not routed to a branch or a ticket. The warranty is written, it runs five years on workmanship, and the person who honors it is the person who did the work.
Are you actually licensed and insured?
Yes, Nevada-licensed and fully insured, and we carry the Google Guarantee badge. Ask us for the license number and certificate before you book. Any contractor who hesitates at that question is telling you something.
