There is no Nevada law that sets your paint colors
Homeowners assume the state regulates this. It does not. NRS 116, the Nevada statute governing common-interest communities, deals with assessments, records, fines, meetings and board conduct. It contains no general provision setting exterior paint colors, and no statewide deadline for your committee to answer you.
Your palette and your timeline come from one place: your own CC&Rs and your community design guidelines. Manufacturer, color name and number for body, trim, fascia, garage and front door, plus a drawing showing where each one goes.
Submit it and chase it
We send the application in and follow up. If the committee comes back with a change, we handle the revision instead of restarting your project.
Flag the repairs first

Do you charge extra to handle the HOA submittal?
No. Preparing and submitting the architectural application is part of an exterior repaint with us. You are paying for a finished, approved house, not for paperwork.
What if my HOA rejects the colors we chose?
We revise and resubmit. Because we work from your community’s current approved palette rather than guessing, rejections are usually a detail like a trim placement rather than the whole scheme.
My community has a master association and a village association. Who approves it?
Often both, in sequence, and the village palette can be narrower than the master one. Inspirada, Summerlin and The Lakes all work this way. We identify which bodies apply to your address before we quote.
Can I repaint the exact same color without approval?
Many associations still require a submittal even for a like-for-like repaint, and some do not. It is written in your governing documents. We check yours rather than assume.
Does my HOA control interior paint?
No. Interior color is yours. Approval applies to what is visible from outside, which in some communities includes the front door, garage door and courtyard walls.
How long does approval take in Las Vegas?
It varies by association and by how complete the application is. The single biggest cause of delay we see is a submittal missing photos or exact color numbers, which sends it back around for another cycle.
